The weekend is the only period you have to unwind to the fullest. Well maybe not everyone. 😆 Aside from hitting the clubs, hanging out with friends and sleeping all day or travelling, watching movies is one of the most lovely ways to unwind.

That is why I have compiled a list of movies I think you should check out this weekend. 


PROPHETESS 
Tells the story of Ajoke, a local Prophetess who makes a bogus prediction about a football match which sets off a chain of events in the community beyond her control. With her life in danger, she enlists the help of her twin sister to save her.

MR AND MRS OKOLI 
It is a comedy that will leave you laughing all day. It is a story of a delta parent who visits their son in Lagos and ruins his relationship that he has built for two years. In an attempt to make things right they kidnapped his fiancée and return her to him by force. A Green Neighbourhood Films Ltd directed by Stan Ajalaja (DGN) aka SuperStanfame. Tells the story of love and woman empowerment.

After losing everything in a divorce to her abusive ex-husband, a penniless and desperate Eloho Odafe (a character played by Rita Dominic) decides to help unhappy women seeking to divorce their abusive and unfaithful husbands. With the help and support of her friends, Gari and Dumebi, she opens a private agency that sets up the husbands of their clients and provides the women with the incriminating proof they need to win their divorce proceedings but everything changes when a mysterious client walks through their doors with an offer Eloho can’t refuse.

Featured Lasisi Elenu in a movie about an international business manager merger is assigned to a rude and condescending senior executive, a curse that affects his ability to speak properly is cast on him by an office cleaner. Will he overcome the curse and secure the deal or would he have to accept that being razz is not such a bad thing. Directed by Udoka Oyeka featuring Lasisi Elenu, Broda Shaggi, Nancy Isime and others.


Eagle Wings
An amazing action film directed by Paul Apel Papel it is a poignant war film about a Nigerian airforce fighter pilot who is caught in the harrowing world of insurgency.

Eagle Wings is a film collaboration between Papel Productions and the Nigerian Air Force. Directed by Paul Apel Papel, stars Enyinna Nwigwe (The Wedding Party 2, Dear Affy), Femi Jacobs, and Abdul Zada. Yakubu Mohammed and Keppy Ekpenyong Bassey (Fine Wine) also feature.
