Nollywood fast-rising actress Adenike Hamza has debunked rumours spreading on social media about her Nollywood boss, Odunlade Adekola demanding sex for roles.

Speaking in a video published by BBC on Sunday, Hamza told BBC she has never offered Mr Odun or any other person sex in exchange for roles.

According to her, such a negative report could damage her character as an actress who is just building a career for herself in the Nollywood movie industry.

She also added that such rumours could discourage other acting enthusiasts like her from seeking admission into OAFP and toeing the acting career path, she, however, pleaded with her accusers to desist from spreading such reports about her.

She said: “My name is Adenike Hamza and I’m doing this video to respond to what was posted on a blog about me dating my boss, my Odunlade Adekola.

“I, Adenike Hamza, I hereby debunk it. It is not true. It has never been true and it will never be true. None of it has ever happened. And none of it is happening. Mi o se ri (I’ve never done it) Mi o de ni se(and I will never do it).

“I will never officer anybody sex for a role and I am not dating my boss. I repeat I am not dating my boss Mr Odunlade Adekola. Please, do not spoil my brand, this little brand I’ve been managing to grow. The future that I’m anticipating which I don’t know how it will turn out, do not spoil it.

“A lot of people are going to believe this story, do not spoil my life. (E ma ba aye mi je). I am not dating my boss and I have never offered anybody sex for role.

“Do you know how many people are still coming to OAFP? Do you known how many people that have passed through OAFP?

“Do you know how many people that are interested in acting? Do you want to discourage them?

“It’s not nice. Just sitting somewhere and cooking up a story a story about someone, it’s not nice at all.”

Her boss Odunlade Adekola, in a video posted on Instagram also debunked the allegation that he demands sex from actresses in exchange for roles. He, however, challenged any actress he has done that too to come forward.

“I need proof that I asked anyone for sex before giving any movie role, I just had to come out and clear this because of young ones coming to the industry,” he said.

According to the ‘Opa Kan’ star, those responsible for the rumour were trying to taint his image and bring him down.

You would recall, RainSMediaRadio reported Nigeria Instagram gossip platform, Gistlover had published a write-up with pictures of Mr Adekola and Hamza, accusing Mr Odun of demanding sex in exchange for roles.
