Nigerian International superstar Wizkid record-breaking album "Made In Lagos" acronym as "MIL" has been nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards.

According to Billboard, the singer submission has been accepted for the "Best Global Album" category the same category Burna Boy won last year with his album titled "Twice As Tall".

Big Wiz as the name he goes by now, also secured a spot for "Essence" in the "Best Global Music Performance" category. The track is the biggest song on the "MIL" album and also features Nigeria's current biggest alternative singer Tems. 

Wizkid has sold over million copies of "Essence" in the United States alone and the track also reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. 

The platinum song has broken many records including the first song from Nigeria to reach Billboard Hot 100 and top Billboard World Digital songs sales.

The album was released in October 2020 and has since been topping all charts across the globe. 

According to Billboard, the album has spent a total of fifty weeks on the Billboard World Albums charts. 

The 2022 Grammy Awards night will be an important day for Nigerians as Wizkid is currently one of the biggest music export out of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
