Northern youths have called on Northerners to resist any form of undemocratic process threatened to expose northern politicians paid money to campaign for southern presidential candidates, called them traitors.

According to Peoples Gazette, the northern youth group known as Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) said: “the CNG has resolved to expose the faces of identified unpatriotic northern traitors who have been paid huge sums of money to market southern candidates. We categorically reject anything to do with any undemocratic process such as zoning,”

The group also said: “We urge all northerners to resist the antics and tactics of the self-appointed antagonists and hired cronies from the North who are today all over the place conscripted in the conspiracy to deceive northerners into abandoning what God has blessed us with; its human resources.”

Abdul-Azeez Suleiman who is one of the group leaders under the aegis of CNG spoke with newsmen on Monday in Abuja stating that northerners would not be forced to make choices detrimental to their region.

This came after the video that went viral on social media showing a member of the House of Representatives, Abubakar Lado Suleja (APC member) representing Sulaja/Tara/Gurara Niger State, addressing the National Leader of All progressives Congres, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as "Mr President."

According to the northern group, rotating the presidency between the northern and southern regions is a myth and unconstitutional.

“That the northern population, which is in the clear majority, will never accept any presidential candidate who is the product of an undemocratic zoning process from whichever party,” added Mr Suleiman.
