Marcus Rashford has emphasized his desire to focus on football after completing a loan move to Aston Villa.

The England international has joined Villa from Manchester United on a season-long loan.

Villa officially announced the transfer via social media, expressing their excitement over his arrival.

“Aston Villa is delighted to announce the loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United,” the club posted.

As part of the agreement, Villa will cover at least 75% of Rashford’s wages, with the percentage potentially increasing to 90% based on team performance.

Following the deal, Rashford expressed gratitude to both clubs for making the transfer possible.

He also revealed that, despite multiple offers, he chose Villa due to their style of play and the manager’s vision.

“I want to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this move happen. A few clubs showed interest, but Villa was an easy choice—I admire the way they’ve played this season and the ambitions of the manager,” Rashford said.

“I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish Manchester United the best for the rest of the season.”

Rashford’s move to Villa Park offers him a fresh start and a chance to rediscover his form.

After struggling for game time at Manchester United, the 25-year-old forward will aim to make an immediate impact under Unai Emery as Villa continues their Premier League campaign.
