Wizkid fourth studio album, Made In Lagos has added to its long list of milestones achieved since it was released by topping Billboard World Chart at number one spot.

Its been ten months since the album was released by the multi-award-winning artist under Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records.

The album debuted on the chart at number spot in November 2020 and had been on the chart for a total of 42 weeks and counting.

The album sparks conversation on social media in 2020 when the eleventh track on the album, 'Essence' got listed on the yearly playlist of the  United States former President Barack Obama.

Afterwards, several celebrities across the globe made Essence their favourite track giving the album the boost it needs to practically become one of the biggest pieces of work out of Africa.

‘Essence’, featuring Nigerian breakthrough star, Tems, made history by being the first Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 music chart in July.

The album was also the first African album to debut on the Spotify Global Album chart at top ten positions barely a week after its release.

Recently, Wizkid did a remix of the track Essence featuring Tems and Justin Bieber. Although the remix was critically water down by many fans Wizkid sure knows how to turn a bad publicity into excellent publicity.

The Nigerian Afrobeat star fast becoming a legend has been on Made In Lagos tour across Europe.

Made In Lagos Deluxe is the project all his fans are waiting for. The 18 tracks album is set to drop on Friday, the addition includes the 'Essence' remix and 'Mood' featuring Nigerian fast rising music star, Buju.
