American model India Love has shut down rumors of a romantic relationship with Nigerian singer Asake.
Speculation about their alleged romance began circulating online after photos of them holding hands surfaced. However, India Love clarified the situation in an Instagram post, stating, "Just for a music video, everyone."
The rumors emerged shortly after Asake’s breakup with American socialite of Gambian descent, Madame Mystique, in 2024. Their split, which ended nearly a year of dating, became public when Mystique addressed fans' questions during a social media Q&A session. When asked about the breakup, she cryptically responded, "Cuz he wanted to go let the devil use him," accompanied by an emoji often linked to Illuminati conspiracy theories.
Meanwhile, Asake has also faced criticism from his former tour promoter, Tunde Phoenix, popularly known as Baba T. Taking to Instagram, Baba T accused Asake of fabricating a romantic storyline for publicity. He shared the viral photo of Asake and India Love, captioning it, "Comparison Marketing. Please tell Alexa to stop; it’s making you look desperate out here."
In another post, he criticized the singer's promotional tactics, suggesting that the strategy lacked creativity. "Dead rollout. A rollout is dead when you can smell it from a mile. Stanks just drop song e sweet small. Una sit down for meeting, this is the best idea? Military finds love in America," he wrote.
Despite the online drama, Asake has yet to officially respond to the claims.
