Nigeria’s biggest music awards show, The Headies, has announced a historic double edition in 2025, with the 17th edition set to take place in April and the 18th edition scheduled for December.
According to Ayo Animashaun, Executive Producer of The Headies, the decision to host two editions in one year was made to keep the awards on track with its annual calendar. The 17th Headies Awards—originally scheduled for 2024—had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, prompting the need for a second edition before the year ends.
