Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has vowed that those responsible for the recent attacks on communities in the state will be tracked down and prosecuted. The governor made this declaration while addressing journalists in Akure, following reports of deadly assaults by unidentified gunmen in several local government areas.

The attacks, which occurred over the past week, resulted in multiple casualties, destruction of homes, and widespread panic among residents. Security agencies have since launched investigations, with initial reports suggesting that the violence may be linked to clashes between rival groups.

Governor Aiyedatiwa condemned the attacks, describing them as senseless acts of violence that threaten the peace and stability of the state. He assured the affected communities that his administration is working closely with security agencies to ensure that those responsible are apprehended and brought to justice.

The state government has also deployed additional security forces to the affected areas to prevent further violence and restore order. Aiyedatiwa urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by providing relevant information that could aid investigations.

Community leaders have called on the government to strengthen security measures, particularly in rural areas, to prevent future attacks. Meanwhile, human rights groups have urged authorities to prioritize justice for the victims and ensure that perpetrators do not go unpunished.
