Suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara made his first public appearance on March 23, 2025, following his suspension earlier in the week. Fubara attended a Sunday service at the headquarters of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, the state capital, dispelling rumours about his whereabouts since the declaration of emergency rule.

Dressed in a simple attire and accompanied by a modest convoy, Fubara participated in the church service without the usual gubernatorial paraphernalia. His presence was acknowledged by the congregation, and he was seen engaging in prayers and worship throughout the service.

This appearance comes amid political tensions in Rivers State, following President Tinubu's declaration of a state of emergency and the suspension of the state's executive and legislative bodies. Fubara's public engagement suggests a continued commitment to his faith and community amidst the ongoing political developments.
