A delegation of governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) recently visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.


The delegation included Governors Aminu Masari (Katsina State), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi State), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa State), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe State), Baba Jide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun State) amidst others. The meeting, which took place on a Saturday, was described as a courtesy visit aimed at discussing the party's future direction and consolidating its position ahead of upcoming political events. 

The governors reportedly sought Buhari's counsel on various national issues and explored ways to strengthen internal democracy within the party. Emphasis was placed on unity and cohesion among party members, with Buhari advising the governors to prioritize the welfare of their constituents and uphold the party's core values.

This visit underscores the continued influence of the former president within the APC and highlights ongoing efforts to maintain party solidarity in a dynamic political landscape.
