Afrobeats star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, known as Kizz Daniel, released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Uncle K (Lemon Chase), on May 30, 2025, under his Flyboy Inc. label, distributed by EMPIRE.
The project features collaborations with great and versatile artists, including Runtown, Fola, Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck, and Zlatan, cementing Kizz Daniel’s status as a leading figure in Afrobeats. Uncle K (Lemon Chase) follows the success of his 2024 EP TZA (Thankz Alot), which included hits like Twe Twe and Showa. The album’s title reflects Kizz Daniel’s nickname “Uncle K” among fans and his pursuit of excellence, symbolized by “Lemon Chase.” Tracks explore themes of love, resilience, and ambition, with standout songs like Police, Titi and Black Girl Magic earning praise for their infectious rhythms and relatable lyrics.
Kizz Daniel, who debuted with New Era in 2016, has evolved into a global ambassador for Afrobeats, with over 1.5 billion streams in 2024. The album’s production, led by Nigerian producers like Philkeys and Reward Beatz, emphasizes live instrumentation, distinguishing it from digital-heavy Afrobeats projects.
