Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has returned to AC Milan for pre-season training on July 10, 2025, facing a pivotal season that could define his future with the Serie A giants.

The 26-year-old Nigerian, who joined from Villarreal in 2023 for €20 million, struggled with injuries and form, managing only 4 goals and 5 assists in 38 appearances last season. Milan’s new manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has labeled the upcoming campaign a “make-or-break” period, with Chukwueze’s contract running until 2028.

Chukwueze, known for his pace and dribbling, is determined to reclaim his spot, having recovered from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for three months. The club’s acquisition of Christian Pulisic has intensified competition, pushing Chukwueze to adapt to a wing-back role.

Teammates like Rafael Leão have encouraged his resilience, while Nigerian fans hope his 2023 Africa Cup of Nations form returns.
